Our Mission Hancock Community Development Corporation's misssion is to provide leadership, linkage and support to the community that would enhance economic opportunity, foster and sustain community development, generate community based partnership through service to the community, and to develop ways to revitalize the community with assistance from residents, businesses, and other stakeholders. Our Purpose Hancock Community Development Corportation (HCDC) purpose is to assist the residents in Census Tracts 6 and 9 with information on services available. We assist residents with housing counseling, centralized resources for social services, education, economic, housing, youth programs, employment services and other needs. Our services are offered through workshops, seminars and one-on-one interactions. We want to improve the overall quality of life for residents in Census Tracts 6 and 9, by improving access to exisiting resourses and working to establish additional resources. We include the community in the development and implementation of our projects to build a greater sense of community pride among residents and business owners in the area. This is accomplished through monthly meetings, newsletters and one-on-one interactions. Community meetings are held the second Monday of each month. |
