|  Overview The area consists of a mixture of low-income neighborhoods, historical houses and buildings with a majority of historically African American neighborhoods, business areas, and shopping centers. These areas were once flourishing neighborhoods with thriving African American businesses and single-family homes. Through Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds streamed through Athens-Clarke County we have been able to assist residents and community members by providing the opportunity to improve their economic conditions in the neighborhood. | |
